Squawking about the Triiibe

I’m a regular reader of Seth Godin’s daily blog. It is a blog that talks about:

• Permission Marketing
• Sneezability
• Leading people to achieve greatness
• Reaching out to the smaller…but so much more important…members of the community (like the feather followers)

One day he sent out an invitation to join this group of global marketers. Though I’m not a marketer, I understood the need to understand it and learn more about it. I still feel a little bit of an annomoly in the group but I’m thrilled to have joined because of what I’ve learned thus far. The group is called “Triiibes.” Three “iii”s because:

• one i = a person
• two ii = a couple
• three+ iii = a group…a tribe…of like-minded people with similar interests and objects. (Sounds like a parrot community to me!)

The network began as Seth Godin was writing about Tribes and Tribal leaders (a quick and easy read about leadership). A bunch of questions arose from the global audience about target marketing and how to lead the group..to a greater good.

The members of this community are amazing! It is this group that helped me when Scarlet’s Feathers was left without a nest. I was about to close the entire idea down as a failed adventure. The members jumped to my rescue and helped me with setting up the Zazzle Nest.

For this reason, I hope you don’t mind my minor indulgence to write about non-parrot stuff. The important reason for this posting…
