I need your help! My head is just not working the way it usually does this time of year.
I designed the following greeting card but need help with the verse.
Please post your comments on what you would change on the card and verse.

Here we come a-squawkin’
Among the feathered flock
Here we come a-wand’ring
So fair to be seen.
Love and joy come to you,
And to you your parrots, too,
And may our happy chrips express,
A Happy New Year,
And we send you a Happy New Year.

Steve
just an idea for some minor changes:
Here we come a-squawkin’
All our feathers bright and clean
Here we come a-waddling
So fair to be seen.
Love and joy come to you,
And to all your parrots, too,
And our chirps and trills and screams and yells,
Mean Happy New Year,
And we wish you a Happy New Year!

Oh like your substitutes! After I get more comments, I’ll combine all the suggestions as much as possible and see what we come up with.
Thanks…I had a really hard time getting my head into developing the card this year.

I don’t prefer the “so fair t/b seen” line. Doesn’t rhyme.
How about:
Here we come a-waddling
and flying down the block?
